When to use a 16-minute timer
16 minutes is the sweet spot for shallow-to-medium tasks. Long enough to make progress, short enough that you won't burn out.
How to run it
- Pick ONE task. Write it down.
- Open Promodify, set the focus length to 16 minutes.
- Phone in another room. Start the timer.
- When the bell rings, stop. Take a proportional break.
